As believers in Jesus Christ, we affirm together the following.
We believe that the Bible, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the complete, inspired, and preserved Word of God. The Bible is true in all it affirms to be true and is the sole authority for the church in doctrine, practice, and morality of life.
We believe that God is Three in One, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, died, rose from the dead, and is coming again.
We believe that all people are sinners and must be born again if they are to be saved from God’s wrath and eternal punishment. When Jesus died He paid the price for our sins. We must turn to God in faith, trusting in His grace for cleansing from sin, forgiveness, and new life in Christ. Those who do this have eternal life, receive the Holy Spirit in this life, and will spend eternity in Heaven.
We believe that all Christians are to live a life in obedience to the Scriptures, forsaking all that is forbidden therein, including all manner of immorality, dishonesty, drunkenness, wrath, and selfishness. We believe that Christians may sin, but can and must repent and confess their sins to receive forgiveness. Those who will not live according to these principles cannot continue as part of the church.
